Best motherboard for i5 4670k build

Hi all,

I'm looking to build a new machine with the i5 4670k processor and overclock it. The machine will also have 16gb DDR3 RAM, SSD and SATA hard drives and a ATI 7850 HD graphics card.

What would be the best motherboard for this set up? I've been recommended this one but I'm not sure how easily I can overclock with it?

They are all about the same, but I would go with the Asus board, mainly due to the fact they have a tendency to slightly go above base Intel specs and their SATA performance is normally better than GB and MSI, so you get better overall performance.

So would you stick with the motherboard that I posted? Does this have good overclocking options and scope for upgrading other components in the future?

Limited overclocking and features, more of a budget board to get your going, Z77 based boards are what most people are going for and should match the rest of your system specs better.

What budget for the motherboard ?

You'll save money if you cut your RAM to 8GB, since I doubt your machine will ever see anything above 4-6GB of use. Then, sink that money saved into your mobo...its a lot easier to add ram than it is to swap motherboards.

Im an ASUS fan, but I would look into the ASROCK mother boards also.
