i had bought a powercolor amd/ati radeon hd 7750 1 gb gddr5 gpu but when i plugged it in the monitor didn't show any display. So my question is was it a problem of the gpu or its something related to my power supply which is 250 watts.Should i buy a new psu or will it work? Thanks for the answer.

Solution

No.I am sorry but 250 watts is very less.Get at least a 450w psu.You can go for a corsair cx 430 for around 2900 rupeeshttp://

You should probably get a bigger PSU, yes the card won't need more than 250W however the rest of the system needs power too. Also such a low watt PSU might not have a stable 12v rail.

Here is what I recommend as the cheapest solution:

CORSAIR CX430M 430W $45 with a $20 rebate for a total of $25. It will do the job and I trust Corsair's PSUs, I'm currently using one.
