I am looking for a graphics card on the Nvidia 660 level where the fan doesn't run when Idle. This will be used in Linux. I will game sometimes but most of the time not, and would like the fan to be silent(off) when it is idle....most of the time this card will not have any load since I do not game that much. I would consider Raedon, but would like Nvidia since their closed source drivers are better for Linux. Which cards on the Nvidia 660 level that wouldn't have the fans run at idle(low load)?

I am not sure about the fans being off but I know even with my GTX 670 SLI setup even running games on high/ultra I can't even hear the fans on either of my cards. I am running a Gigabyte GTX 670(Windforce 2) SLI setup and unless I manually turn the fan speed up I can't hear them at all.
