what kind of $100 cpu cooler will fit??

Exactly which cooler are we talking about?
A Noctua NH-D14 or phanteks are about the best air coolers at <$100. They are about 160mm tall which will fit in your 180mm wide case. Google the cooler and case, and you will likely find pics to show you how it fits.
If you are talking about a $100 all in one liquid cooler(which I do not recommend), then the radiator size may be an issue.

If so, according to their website (scroll down about 2/3 the way), the max CPU Cooler Clearance is 158mm, which limits a lot of the common tower-style coolers.
For air cooling, Zalman thankfully makes some top-tier solutions that are usually around 154mm in height. The CNPS12X should be worth looking into.

One could always use a downdraft type cooler like a Noctua NH-C14.
Tower types are generally more effective in getting hot air out of the case.
