Ya i know, you do need more space indeed so LED is your option then, i have a XL- ATX case, i can hide kids in it and make them disapear ;). hahahaha

Im from holland (gotta import), i have found cathodes that respond to your music, imagine a disco inside your case!!!! gonna send you a link as soon as im done programming a couple of stuff.
my first thing to tell you is that if you dont have 1200 dollars worth of hardware, dont even bother with lights especially not with that low quality case. upgrade those before you even bother

now, for the lights.

LEDs are brighter, way longer lasting, less power hungry, and wont have random spots where the light is dimmer than other parts. they are a little more expensive. if you are going to do this, you may as well do it right. the ones id get are the bitfenix alchemy LEDs. best ones out there

cathodes are cheaper to begin with, but after that, they are inferior in every way

Honestly anyone who wants to show of there hard work should always want to display it in bright lights no matter the cost. But I believe even though my build isn't a 1200 dollar build like you state it is very close to it and I like any other want to show off my work especially since its my first build. Here is a link you can check it out if you would like. Thanks for the the tips though on the Led's vs Cathode's I appreciate it very much. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/loganmason/saved/2xQZ

Ya tottaly worth the lights, it costs almost nothing anyways, very very rude comment from a moderator, must be having a bad day.

Anywayz what i know is that cathodes are very...not quality consistent, so you could have one that will break in a week and one that will last a while.

But i must say i find the light from kathodes super awesome, thats why people still get kathodes over LED not because of price.

I recommend getting an extra kathode set if you do go for kathode, checking kathode UV lately because i have a pure white case.

Hope ive answered your question!

you do not need to buy the bit pheinix leds they are overpriced in my opinion.
you can go to your local tore and buy a led strip th meter cots aproximetly 6 euro for the low powerd and the high powerd nearly double price.low powerd are most than enougf they coe in waterprof as well and a meter consumes 4.5 waats the low power moduels and work on a 12 volt dc.
with led you have low power consumption tehy are thin and flexible.
drawback they only come in red green blue white .
with cthode they use more energy they come wth a inverter the black box and are big .they come in more colours yelow or ultra violate.
wth leds you can buy a rgb strp and have both three collors.
to conect the leds to your power supply i recomend soldering them to a molex fan conector and you will need to conect it properly since it is dc current.

you could go out and buy yourself LEDs at a hardware store, but you will have to wire them up yourself, making your own conectors.

and no, wired up LEDs such as the bitfenix alchemy LEDs will cost around 20 bucks for 30cm and given you are going to put at least 3 strips, it would be around 40-60 bucks spent. with that money, i can easily upgrade to a 7950 which actually does something to the systems performance or have bought a better case that can actually last 10 years

Do you think I should get the 1 m or 2m Led Sleeve ? Seems like 1 m may not be long enough but the 2 m maybe just a tad bit to long but I think I maybe be able to use it all now that I think about it. Here are my dimensions in case you forgot. 8.3" x 18.2" x 21.0" (WxHxD) (W/ Front panel)
