Hey guys,
The onboard sound for the motherboard I brought, the Asus P8Z77-V seems to be dead. One day it went haywire and now the front header and back I/O connectors do not work as they should; they think headphone/speakers are constantly being plugged in and then unplugged. I took a video of this on a freshly reinstalled OS to prove, which you can view at:

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, including the ones as given on the motherboard disk, and the updated ones on the website, and they do not work. I also attempted flashing the BIOS, which has also not fixed the problem. I plan to send the board back to my supplier, but if anyone has any idea what's going on then it would be nice to see if theres a way to fix it. Cheers.

I had one, a Creative Audigy 2 ZS, I believe it may have been that which killed the onboard sound. That card has also stopped working sadly, perhaps compatibility issues.
