hello so i was looking for a mini itx mobo that would suit my needs and stumbled upon one but unlucky it didn't have raid support and i was wondering if i really needed it. im planning on installing 3 storage devices for my system. do i need raid to get all 3 to work? would like to hear from you guys here thanks

Solution
no raid is used to combine drives together. If you are using the drives separately, there is no need for raid.

eg when you raid 2 500gb drives, you get a "virtual" 1TB drive in windows.

you don't need raid to use the 2 500gb drives as 2 separate 500gb drives.
