Hai all, Can you all guide me for setting my brother system as he want to set up 3 monitor LED 21 inch Ben Q to his system, The problem is my brother is using my old card which is Asus GTX 560 Direct CU II OC and as far as i know it can only support up to 2 monitors only right? And he's using a motherboard Asus P8z77-V-LK which also has an intergrated display....so the question is

1. Can Asus 560 display card using 2 monitor and on board display all at the same time?
2. If can how is the setup, I mean what should i do first ? Is it just hook all the 3 monitors together?
3. How to install display driver for on board motherboard drivers? Will it crash if i install Nvidia driver with on board drivers?
4.For the cable is it ok if for GTX 560 using 2 DVI cable to connect to monitor and HDMI cable for on board connection?

For your info my brother wants to play games only using 1 monitor while the rest is for surfing and his office work. Is it possible guys for this set up?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
The GTX 560 will support 3 monitors. You just need a display port to DVI cable. Go to Control Panel in Windows and select NVIDIA Control Panel and then look for the option to set up multiple monitors on the left.

You can't use the onboard if you use 2 DVI or DVI + HDMI. You are right in that model 560 will only run 2 monitors unless you have a display port on it if so then you can run 2 off the DVI ports and 1 off the display port. I do not believe that model 560 comes with the DP though.

2 options
Buy another gfx card that supports 3 monitors you need dual DVI or HDMI + a "Display port" there are countless options available depends on what you want to do with the system.

The cheap option if you just want a 3 monitor workstation (not for gaming) just buy a cheap PCI card and put it in to run the 3rd monitor. Any cheap run of the mill $25 PCI card will work just fine. Understand you won't be running Flightsim with 3 monitors using this setup. You'll need a real 3 monitor supported card with some horse power for that.

By the way using a cheap 2nd PCI card to run the 3rd monitor would probably be ideal for your situation as you would be able to run games on 1 monitor using your gtx 560 and keep the desktop live on the other monitors.
