I just got my new motherboard (Asus M5A99FX Pro2.0), and my front headphone jack gives buzzing, irritating sounds. It was the same problem with my old motherboard. I think it isn't AC97, there's Realtek HD audio in the front panel.

Please help me! I use my headphone very often, and it's very annoying!

It sounds like your front connector isn't making good contact, either on the motherboard or between the front panel and the headphones. I'd advise first trying some Deoxit on the pins on the MB. (Don't use too much, as that can cause things to get worse.) Second thing I'd try is connect an extension cord between the front panel and the headphones. If neither of those work, I'd advise trying to replace the connector from the front panel to the motherboard.

Okay thank you. This isn't caused by my headphone, I know, because this sound is there with every headphone (and earphones). So yes I will try to replace the inner connector, perhaps it will solve the problem. Thanks again.

This problem was the same when i got my computer (3 years ago) and i don't believe that it oxidated. But I'll try this.
