HD 7970 3GB CF vs. GTX 670 2GB SLI @ 5760x1080

Hi I am looking to upgrade to a HD 7970 3GB CF setup from a GTX 670 2GB SLI for 5760x1080 res games.

I have tested the BF4 beta and found that with AA enabled the vRAM usage goes above the GTX 670's limit. I was wondering how much of an improvement will I see over this change? I couldn't find any benchmarks with newer AMD drivers especially with triple monitors and CF.

Also with the upcoming AMD mental API and next gen games will the extra 1GB of vram help? Is it possible to just OC a regular 7970 to achieve the ghz edition's clocks or even go further than that?

Current Setup:
i5-2500k @4.6 ghz
8gb ram
EVGA GTX 670 SLI
Corsair HX850
Asrock P67 Extreme 4 Gen 3

P.S Anything beyond the price range of 2 7970s isn't really a option for me. I know cards like the 770 4gb models or the GTX 780s are really good but frankly they're not within my budget.

If your not out any extra money I would say go for it except for the fact the AMDs frame pacing drivers do not affect triple monitor setups like yourself which means your gaming experience will be less than satisfactory. I would stick with the 670s for the time being, maybe give them a slight over clock to get some better performance.

You can drop the AA down, use SweetFX instead, if you really want it, go 7970 CF or maybe the R9 290X if you have the money.Please note that the Dual 7970 setup does suffer from micro-stuttering if you are using more than 1 screen.

I'm getting anywhere from 30~40 fps with only 2x MSAA (I tried FXAA from the Nvidia panel it didn't look that good to me) . I know this is on beta drivers and beta game build. However given that I will be able to sell the 670s and get the 7970s with no price difference is it worth it?

I thought AMD had already fixed that issue with one of their beta drivers. I know Nvidia is still better in terms of micro stuttering is AMD still that bad?

Thanks for the info, seems like I had missed that their drivers doesn't involve eyefinity setups.
