i am rebuilding my computer and i have startup issues. i have a new mobo, anew video card, new hdd, new psu. i put all of it together , go to start up and nothing. all the fans spin for 1 sec and immediately shut off. thought i had too much hooked up for my psu to handle, so i disconnect some things. with only mobo and heatsink fan attached ,no forward progress. still wont start. help me please

case- thermaltake element v
cpu- amd fx 8120
gpu- gigabyte gtx 660 ti
mobo- gigabyte 990 fxa ud3
psu- corsair 750 OR coolmax zu 1000 b (both modular)

im thinking its the case just because everything else is brand spanking new.

What you're describing sounds like a cpu/motherboard issue. The case seems to be powering everything on as it should but the mb does a safety shut down.

Make sure you've connected the 4/8 pin 12v psu connector to the mb.
