I have taken the old hard drive from a ps3 that no longer works and connected it to my desktop via sata cables. The hard drive shows up in device manager under the disk drive section (verified by the serial number) but does not show up in the hard disk drive list in the file explorer. Any ideas on what to do to be able to view the files on it?
Update: I did some more research and went to disk management and the disk is listed there as disk 1 it is marked as unknown and the bar is black. It is prompting me to initialize the disk. I have to choose MBR or GPT. If i choose either will I lose the information on the disk?
