I recently built my first computer, but I honestly don't know that much about the process. This is my build:

MOBO: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AMD Motherboard w/ UEFI BIOS

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 02G-P4-2660-KR Video Card

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+ Six-Core Desktop Processor

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

PSU: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Case: CFI Diablo LT CFI-B1010 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window

Monitor: Acer H226HQLbid Black 21.5" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LED Backlit LCD Monitor, IPS Panel 250 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (1000:1)

So this is my problem: after assembling the whole thing and plugging everything in, I turned on the computer. Everything seemed to work fine, all the fans spinning, the HDD LED on the motherboard on. However, when I hooked it up to my monitor, nothing showed up on the screen. The thing is, there are two distinct errors from the monitor: one is "Cable not Connected", which shows when the computer is not hooked up to the monitor. The other is the one I am having trouble with: "No Signal", which shows when the computer is connected, but nothing shows on the screen. I have tried using VGA, DVI, and HDMI, with no success. Any solutions or information on what might be wrong?

Some more things I noticed are that when I press the button of my DVD drive to open the tray, its light comes on but the tray does not come out. I checked the SATA cable, and it seems to be snug on both ends. In addition, my USB ports on the back of the motherboard do not seem to work; when I plug in a mouse or keyboard, none of their lights come on.
I have no idea if my other problems are related to the monitor one, but again, I don't know much about computers. If you guys could help, that would be great.

OKay. For starters recheck the 24 pin ATX connector and make sure it is lugged in snuggly and the Clip is engaged. Same goes for the 4/8 pin CPU connector. It kinda sounds like you are getting "Some" power to the board, but not near enough. That can happen if the 24 Pin Atx connector isn't plugged in all the way.
