hello,

so am choosing a build for my gaming pc as follows

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)
Kingston RAM 16 Gigs 1600MHz
SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB (SSD)
MSI Z87-G43 LGA 1B 3.0 ATX
1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drive

and i am still trying to know how much power supply i need for this build, considering that i'll do overclocking for the pc.

also please tell me if i need to modify anything here for example the motherboard..

thank you

Rule of thumb for gaming PCs: If you're spending more on your CPU than your GPU, you're doing it wrong. Scrap the i7-4770, and buy an i5-4670k. For gaming you won't notice any difference, but your wallet will. Use the extra ~$100 to afford...
I would drop down from the 4770(can't overclock that one anyways) to the 4670k, drop down to 8gb's of Ram(no need for more than this for gaming) and get a better motherboard, and possibly video card. If you are running an SSD(good choice, btw), you don't need the WD Caviar Black, save some money and get a blue instead.

Rule of thumb for gaming PCs: If you're spending more on your CPU than your GPU, you're doing it wrong. Scrap the i7-4770, and buy an i5-4670k. For gaming you won't notice any difference, but your wallet will. Use the extra ~$100 to afford yourself a better GPU like a GTX 770, which will take another $40 - $50 or so after downgrading to an i5-4670k, but will be well worth the price. You also don't need 16 GB of RAM. It's great to have, but 8 GB will do you fine and if you can downgrade to 8 GB to afford the GTX 770 then go ahead. RAM is a hell of a lot cheaper to upgrade later on if you need it than a graphics card is.

As for a PSU, try a PSU calculator in future but you can't go wrong with 600 W. This is a fantastic bang for your buck PSU in terms of reliability and brand. Plus with 620W you'll have a good plenty amount of upgrade potential in future, even if you end up getting a GTX 770:

Solution

This should do (R9 280X, much better value, better or very similar performance to the 770).
