Ineed a good cpu upgrade. I got a Nvidida 660 TI and a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 (came with 8gb ram when I bought it) with AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE put in it. So far I have been able to play pretty much any game atleast 40+ FPs but recently I have been playing a couple of games and haven't been getting much on those. For example I was trying out the Dragon's Prophet MMO. At max It wants to jump between 30-40 to less then 10, but at minimum it stays a solid 60. So what I would like to know is what would a good upgrade to be able to up the settings and still have good fps?

Have you tried any other game? I wouldn't think an MMO would be a problem...

Have you overclocked your Phenom? Get that puppy to 4.5 GHz and you should see some substantial gains. Also overclocking the 660 Ti wouldn't hurt...

I have tried overclocking but I can't get past 4.0 without using pretty high volts. I think I used 1.5volts, I would have to go like 1.525 or higher for 4.5. Running Prime95 just to gte it running brings my cpu to 3422-3423 MHz at 1.472 volts (stock). Also while running at 4.0 temps weren't a problem, it never went past 52C (hyper 212 push/pull).

Well push it to 4.2 GHz and keep it there. Tell me the results! Just make sure it isn't reaching 60c and you are fine...

Well yeah at least run it at 4 GHz. At those speeds you should beat all i3's besides the best couple of Haswells.

Well I do have it at 4 GHz but even then Dragon's Prophet drops frames. not sure whats going on. I checked all that I could think of but it still does.
