Well, im a gamer and i constantly play on different servers. This is such a drag for me because i can only use a WIFI usb. The main router/tv/phoneline is in the other room. but i also have a phoneline here or whatever that is called. Is it possible to transfer the router in my room so i can use the ethernet cable and let the other pc on the other room just use usb wifi? or is it also possible to have 2 routers at the same time in 1 internet connection?

Nothing will beat a ethernet cable for performance. Powerline will normally be better than wireless at least for stability since it does not get as much random interference. The problem with powerline is in some houses it just will not work because of how the wires run or interference. Lucky it works very well in most houses. Just be sure you buy from a place you can return them if they do not work.

Gaming in general will work much better over a powerline than over wireless. Gaming does not require much bandwidth but it requires a very clean error free signal. Wireless is horrible since the dog walking though a room can change the radio patterns and cause small errors.

Only one router per DSL or cable modem connection. You can configure a second router as an access point if you connect it to the main router with an Ethernet cable (or a good powerline adapter pair, like the Zxyel PLA5205kit or 5215kit, if you cannot run a cable).

You can move your DSL modem to a different connection, but often some phone line wiring work is needed (I had to change some connections with jumpers and gel caps in my phone line box to move mine).

If you use your Internet for TV, moving it away from the TV will make streaming video problematic. So if you do stream video to the TV, I would look at the second router as an AP or just run the cable to your computer.

in terms of computer stuff. i only understood 50% of what you said. hahaha. its not you, its me. anyway, i guess i'll just opt for the powerline adapter? is it better? is it worse than ethernet to router? pros and cons? what are other alternatives? what is the best adapter as of today(for gaming).
