I currently have a 660 sc. It would be superbly cheaper to buy another one than to get a 780. How much of a difference would I really see? Would the 780 even be worth the extra $450?

A single GTX 780 would be better if you can afford it. It's very expensive of course, but a beast by itself. GTX 660 SLI is nice, but it is a SLI and you don't get increased VRAM with more heat, more noise, higher electric bills, etc.

If your PSU can handle it the GTX660 SLI setup would come close it beats the GTX680 and probably the GTX770. The GTX780 would not be worth the extra money especially since you can get 2 x GTX760 for less and they beat it.

A GTX 660 sli=GTX 680 but GTX 680<GTX 780 and about 20% increase in performance on the GTX 780

So, you guys think I should just get the SLI and I will get about the same performance as a gtx 680 or 770?

you get performance quite close to a GTX 680.I recommend selling the two 660s and save up to buy a GTX 780

Also, I already have one 660 SC in my system. That is why I am asking, It would save me about $450 to just buy another 660 rather than buy a $650 gtx 780. Would I really notice much of a difference? I have the Corsair HX 850 so power isnt a question and my case is like a wind tunnel so heat is also not a problem.

Buying a 2nd 660 might not be a bad idea, but it's kind of becoming an old card now, it would be better to wait for black Friday to see if ones cheaper or wait for the next generation and buy a single card that will be much more powerful than two cards in SLI.

760s would work well too, but it's all up to you in the end which route you like best.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I was going to wait until Quarter 1 of 2014 when Nvidia is sposed to come out with something new, hopefully making the price of the 660 fall.

They just lowered the prices on the GTX660 and it can be had for $150. great card for that price. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#c=114&sort=a5

200 bucks for a weak card like a 660 is a bit to much, maybe 150, but 200 dollars is a big no for me. If you can wait till Q1 that would be great, plus you can save up extra cash on the side for the new card.

SLI would be a hassle too in the long run. You can also sell your current 660 too.

I think I will just wait until Q1. Then use those until they start to become obsolete by the games. Then buy the expensive whatever generation card is out. 780, 880, 980 whatever.
