PCI 2.0x16 or PCIE 3.0x16??

Hello,
I have a motherboard that have PCIE 2.0x16 and my video card is 3.0 .Can i meet the 3.0 speed if igoing to put it on my motherboard? or shall i going to change my board thats has a feature of PCIE 3.0x16??

NO you wouldn't be able to, BUT like i said we haven't saturated the bandwidth pci-e 2.0 has given us. Think of it this way, you have pci 3.0 which is a 10 lane highway. pci-2.0 is a 8 lane highway. But there is only traffic in 5 lanes, leaving the other lanes open which we don't have the computing power YET to fill.

In a nutshell, there is no performance difference at this time.

Nothing you will ever notice until cpu computing catches up to gpu's. Like I said, at this time there is no real difference between using a pci 3.0 card on a 2.0 motherboard or 3.0 motherboard.
