It’s not really a simple answer. A lot of it depends on your particular business’ needs and the office layout. Are there a lot of individual offices or is it mostly open space. Another is how fast do you want the connection to be on each machine? What kind of computers do you have? What is your use case? What sort of security do you need?

You can do it one of two ways.

You can cheap out and buy a wireless router or two and split the bandwidth between all of the computers. This would lower your employees productivity as well as pose a major security risk.

On the other hand, you can get in contact with a SMB that specializes in network solutions and they can give you a proper solution and an estimate for the work. They will outline...

If you already have a modem with internet connection, you need a router and a switch. The price depends on the stores and what budget you have..
If you want all connections to be wired then a home router and a unmanageable switch should be enough..you may even block some pages..
If you want them to be wired you'll need a router and a couple of access points to cover the whole office :)

They will outline what they are doing and pointing out ways you can upgrade your network once your business grows from 16 computers to 32 or more.

Remember security on your network is the last line of defense when combating malicious actions against your employees and business.
