Hi all. I'm posting this as general interest and maybe in the future plan to do SLI. I currently have a EVGA 760 SC (non ACX) and I'm wondering does one need the EXACT same card or can be it like a PNY 760 XLR8? and what size PSU would be good.
Thanks

Solution
You need the same GPU. You have a 760, so get another 760. Brand doesn't matter. Whether one is over-clocked or not doesn't make a difference.

Also, both cards should have the same VRAM size.

The EVGA SC-edition card probably requires a little more than the standard 170W which is required by the PNY card.
A good PSU if you aren't overclocking the heck out of everything is a Seasonic SSR-650RM 650W 80-plus Gold modular power supply. This will power both GPUs and the rest of the system with ease (assuming Sandy, Ivy, or Haswell).

As cake mentioned, a good ~600W PSU is all you need to run an SLI 760 system, unless you also happen to be running an overclocked hex core i7. My i5 2500k, 16GB RAM and 2x 660Ti system pulls in less than 370W under load in most games, and 760s have very similar power consumption.

Well I have a i5-4670 but I'm not overclocking and dont really plan too. I will most likely buy a bigger motherboard that supports SLI and a bigger PSU over time.. for now 1 760 is quite good enough! I'm quite pleased with it but maybe for the future. Thanks all! :)
