Hello I have wanted to get more out of my new Asus G75VW for awhile as it is not as powerful as I expected, but I am not sure as to how Overclocking works and I don't want to try it by myself not because I doubt I'll get done but usually when I tinker with my computer there's a chance I can screw it up because I have no idea what I'am doing in that department. Also my specs are as follows an Intel Core i7-3610QM CPU @2.30 GHz, 8.00 GB ram, a 64 -bit operating system, an Intel HM77 Chipset and a 19 V power supply.

Hi,

As it stands I don't think you'll be able to overclock at all, but there is a modified BIOS out there for your laptop which may unlock some overclocking features, however I don't recommend overclocking any laptop as they're not designed to be overclocked.

I know most if not all laptops are not recommended for overclocking, but I really need to do something here because a few weeks ago I bought Far Cry 3 and most if not all my friends and many of gamers on YouTube said that it was an awesome game. So I've had it for the last few weeks and I didn't get a chance to play it. Then I do last night and I spend an hour trying to get the thing to actually work properly, because every time the screen moved as the character looked around the frames would shift and it just didn't look very appetizing I guess. So after tweaking with almost every graphical setting I finally look the system requirements up online and the minimum requirements for the CPU is 2.66 GHz. I don't know about you but I really want to play Far Cry 3 and I'm guessing I won't be able to play my copy of Bioshock Infinite either if I can't play Far Cry on this laptop. Please help me I really need to overclock this laptop because the only thing I bought this for was to game and if I can't do that well I might as well throw this thing out my window.
