Hi

My new ST1000DX001 (boot) appears to be running a lot slower than my ST1000DM003 (just storage) :(

HD Tune Pro gives me lots of numbers - which ones do I need to compare or quote to prove that it is not running correctly?

It's taking well over a minute to boot into windows 7 from a clean installation, and most of that before it gets off the windows splash. Not sure what it's up to...

How many times have you re-booted? The caching firmware takes several boot cycles to establish which files to cache.

A fair few times, I'm running it round and round to see if it improves, certainly didn't seems swift off the bat.

Almost 2 mins to get into windows properly. I have an old set up but that is much slower...

It's not a pretty graph, but AFAICS it doesn't explain the slowness.

Would anything point to a fault or is it probably a software issue?
