How do I find out what Graphics Card is compatible with my Motherboard, and what would you recommend?

Hi, I'm very new to this sort of stuff, so appreciate any help I get, so I can learn from it.

My Motherboard is a GA-78LMT.

Link here

My CPU is a AMD FX 4100, x4 core, 3.6 GHz

I've also got 8GB RAM

Here's the Graphics card I was looking at buying. This is around my budget, tops is £130.

Not too sure if there's anything else you need to know, if there is, just tell me and I'll get back to you.

Alright great, considering what Raheel suggested, (the 650ti) would you say that's worth it? Because I could go for that one, considering it's well within budget.

I just checked your Power supply and you can not run the card. You have no PCIe connectors with that PSU and you need them.

Sorry to say but ur psu dont have a pcie connector it is a cheap 15 gbp psu. U need atleast a corsair cx 430watt

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Builder-Series-Bronze-Supply/dp/B009RMP14M/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1381867958&sr=1-3&keywords=cx+500

Ur psu just says 500watt actually it will give only 250-300watt thats why it is 15 gbp, dont risk a new card with that

o_O It says my motherboard has a PCIe slot though, I don't really understand, I always thought it just mattered what was on the motherboard, and I'm pretty sure there was one there, when I went inside my computer to find the information about the psu I gave you.

**EDIT**

Okay, i read what Raheel said. That makes sense to me now. Thanks for the help.

I can still get the other psu, i'll be forking out a bit more money than what I wanted, but oh well. No biggie.

Some cards take a single 6 pin PCIe connector and some two and then some a 6 pin connector plus a 6 pin + 2 pin Connector ( 8 pins ). The reason for that is that the cards have gotten so powerful, the power they draw from the bus is not enough.

Okay, thanks for explaining it to me.
