Hi everyone,

Hope to find any good advice here. My setup: I have two separated W7 (clean installations) on two different hard drives (one for daily use, the other one for heavy audio processing).

After installing the second W7 and logging in, the computer fan starts to spin faster, making lots of noise. This is strange since I have just logged in in a clean installation and I'm performing no action at all. I imagine that this must be due to some kind of overprocessing or overheating but I can't imagine what could it be. Besides, that doesn't happen after I log in with the first W7.

The hard drive where I have installed the second W7 is bought new (2TB, W7 is installed in a partition of 300MB), so I don't think is the disk the one to blame... unless it has any undetected failure...

I don't know. Anyone could help me with this one?

Thank you all in advance,

Downloading, thank you very much. I will run it in both installations and upload snapshots with the values. Hope we'll solve the mystery...

Update: here are the snapshots with the analysis values:

-The first one, corresponding to the first W7 - http://postimg.org/image/6rx02zjoz/
-The second one, corresponding to the second W7, the one that makes the fans go mad - http://postimg.org/image/n1n65vucz/

Can anybody tell something from the values? Any suggestion?

Thanks everybody,

Solved! Just as rcfant89 pointed out, the HWMonitor shone a light just by not showing the ATI Radeon statistics for the second W7 installation. That made me realize that I hadn't installed yet the videocard drivers properly, and once it was done, the problem was solved. Who would have thought...

Anyway, thank you all again! :)
