All of these posts are old, and no one mention the new haswell based intel CPUs wich give 30% mire
Performance, and all this guys are limited to a small budget.I have a really big budget

I7-4770k overclocked to 5.0 GHZ with 2133MHz Ram and PCIE SSD with 2 gb read/write would be optimal. But I7-4770k with 3.5 Ghz 1600MHz ram and a regular SSD will do just fine. I edit and render RAW images 20 MB big with I7-3770k @ 3.5GHz with 16 Gb (2x8gb) 1600 ram just fine without any problems what so ever.

Just understand that haswell does not offer 30% over ivy, not even close. Tom's did a full test and found the difference to actually be between -2% and +5% over ivy at the cost of more power and more heat. Not trying to troll just making you aware that haswell doesn't have much if anything on a well priced ivy chip.

what is the PCIE SSD? 2gb read/write are u talking about the ssd?? samsung evo 840 read/write over 300mb/s

SATA is limited to 600Mbs read/write.
PCIe slots offer about 1gb per lane with 3.0 but u need regular pcie

Most recent CPUs are limited to 20 lanes. that's why you have 1x16 lane or 2x8 lanes when you install 2 video cards.

Normal ssd is limited to 600 MBs max read/write while pcie ssd is not. Your RAM speed is about 2.1 GB/s. So HD is the only pc bottle neck.

When u use a PC it pulls data from HD to ram and it also creates a virtual memory on HD. So you are using a Hard Drive more than you know. The faster the Hard Drive the less wait time for programs to open or to load.

But does a PCIE SSD have big memory? Because I'm buying a 840 evo 1tb SSD for only 500dollars. Should I go for the pcie ssd and forget the 1tb ssd
Or should I stick with 1tb ssd because it's awesome and cheap

Stick to what you were buying, PCIe SSD is very expensive and not mainstream yet but it's getting there.

I dont need 1tb SSD, 240gb SSD will do just fine, and PCIE ssd is not that expensive, I liked your idea and I'm going for it!! Asus RaidR here we go haha!
But is it compatible with asus Z87 pro MOBO? And I'm buying 32gb ram 1600 corsair vengeance, do I need to buy a quicker memory for getting 2Gb/s read?
