Hi,

I just installed Windows 8 on my desktop computer. Previously, I had Windows 7 installed. I tought that after installing a new OS, the old one would dissapear, but no. When booting, it asks me if I want to boot either on Windows 8 or 7. How do I delete Windows 7, so that I can only boot on Windows 8 ?

Thanks !

Solution

method 1 :
Format you old OS partition
Fresh install Win 8

method 2:
Boot Win 8
Hit Win Key
Type : msconfig
Enter
You see System Config. window
Boot tab
Select Win 8
Hit Set us Default
Select Win 7
Hit DELETE
OK
Done
Reboot

In adition you can manualy delete Old OS folders & files if you don`t need them
