Sapphire Toxic vs AMD Matrix r9 280x, Which is better?

Solution
I wouldn't worry too much about it. The Toxic is the fastest R9-280X but only by a maximum of 4fps. If the cost is much higher, it just isn't worth it. The Gigabyte Windforce R9-280X and the ASUS DirectIICU TOP R9-280X are both within 2-4fps of the Toxic at all times but they use considerably less power. From what I've seen on hexus.net, the Gigabyte Windforce R9-280X is probably a better buy. It runs about 3C hotter and 3.5dB louder than the Toxic but the toxic uses an extra 42W. Using Far Cry 3 as the benchmark, the Windforce is 4% hotter and is 9% louder. The Toxic uses 17% more electricity and has a 5% performance advantage (although at 1920x1080, they're both over 60fps so you'd never notice). The advantage that the...

According to the reviews from Hexus, KitGuru, and AnandTech, the Sapphire R9 280X TOXIC is the fastest R9 280X grahics card. Although they have not reviewed the Asus MATRIX R9 280X, I'm sure the performance of the two are very close.

The Sapphire R9 280X TOXIC has 1 HDMI, 2 mini-DisplayPort, 1 DVI-I, and 1 DVI-D
The Asus MATRIX R9 280X has 4 DisplayPort, 1 DVI-I, and 1 DVI-D

So if you plan on using a multi-monitor setup, go for the Asus MATRIX.

The advantage that the Gigabyte has that really tips the scales is the price. Despite the fact that the Toxic only has a 5% lead on the Windforce, the Toxic is a full 20% more expensive than the Windforce ($360 vs $300). I can attest to the fact that the Windforce card isn't really loud enough to matter (and I have TWO of them in Crossfire) and it certainly runs cool enough. The fact that the Windforce is so close to the Toxic (and most likely matches or beats the Matrix) but costs $50 less than the Matrix and $60 less than the Toxic on newegg tells me that it's definitely the card to get.
