Hey everyone, I have a Dell Inspiron 15R ( i5 2430M , 4 GB DDR3 RAM , Gt 525M )
I recently noticed that my CPU throttles when I play games for more than 20 mins. (Example - Most Wanted 2012)
So I tried to use ThrottleStop. Max temp - 92.
So my question is , on which type of Clock Modulation should I put a check ?
Clock Modulation or Chipset Clock Mod ?

Solution
After you've cleaned your vents it's worth trying to undervolt your cpu to the lowest stable value. This enables you to run your cpu with the least heat generated, just look up the how-tos in youtube. But first off, i'd enable the DTS alarm in the throttlestop options menu and set it to a value of 20 (tjmax 100deg - 20 is 80 degrees) to switch to a "milder setting" which could be your lowest cpu multiplier in profile 4 for example. This would prevent your cpu from hitting the high temps you're experiencing. Enabling the DTS alam allows you to use a higher cpu setting when cool but forces it to step down when it reaches a given temperature. You can set the DTS alarm Value to whatever you like.
If your CPU is reaching 90C then its throttling FOR A REASON.
Thermal limits should NOT be trifled with in a mobile system unless it is disposable to you.

Let your computer throttle, and if its still under warranty, return it so that the overheating problem can be fixed.

I understand but at least tell me that on which type of Clock Modulation should I put a check ? Clock Mod or Chip Mod ? Because it's even throttling at around 85 C which is absurd. Even the TJMax is 100 and we all know about Dell's without - any - reason - throttling - issues.

Those temps are ridiculously high..... I'd forget about Throttlestop, take of the bottom panel and clean out the cookie crumbs, cat hair and whatever else is fouling up the cooling system.

TJMax = temp of instant CPU failure

When I see 75C, ... I do a cleaning.....at 80C Id do a tear down.

The CPU has a TJMax of 100C, that does not mean you WANT it running near that hot. The OTHER internal components may be damaged by 80+C.
As the above user said, forgot about ThrottleStop.

What you want to do is take some compressed air and blow out any junk built up in your vents, replace the thermal paste on your CPU, and then give the battery a complete charge-discharge cycle. If it still isn't good RMA or get it serviced by a certified technician

Can I use a Bicycle Pump to clean out the dust ? I have used it before and had no problems and it significantly lowered the temps.

I would stick to checking thermal improvements from just cleaning and reseating before tweaking with software again. We should see if OP checks back in
