I'm thinking about getting a new gaming PC or upgrading my old one so I can run games that are coming out later this year (Cod: Ghost, BF4, Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed etc.). Can barely play BF4 Beta right now.
Here is what I have right now (approximately 3 years old)

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core Processor AM3 3.4GHZ 8MB Cache 125W 45NM
Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 AMD870 ATX AM3 DDR3 1PCI-E 2PCI RAID HD Sound GBLAN SATA3
Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-27 Dual Channel Memory Kit
XFX Radeon HD 5770 850MHZ 1GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI
Seasonic S12II 620W EPS12V 20/24PIN ATX Power Supply Active
Western Digital WD Caviar Blue 1TB

Some of these even below the minimum requirements. So, I was wondering if it makes any sense to upgrade the system or is it cheaper and better to get a new one. Any idea how much would my PC cost on the secondary market?

The budget is about 800$. I'm in Canada right now.

Thanks

my suggestion:

1. oc your proc, that is a very good processor for overclocking , but you need to buy a aftermarket cooler it

2. upgrade your video card to a 660,660 ti, or any amd 7800 series cards

3. add a SSD drive in your system - this will help you system a lot in terms of performance

4. now if all of those upgrades didn't make any difference, you can transfer to parts on your new rig :)

just my 2 cents

Thanks nondy. I dont think that my proc can be oc enough to play new games. Or am I wrong?
Are all of yours video cards compatible with my mobo?

Anything more specific would be great
