They should compatible, here is why. 1) The P5G41T-M LX has intel G41 chipset, 2) Here is e6700 compatible chipsets list http://ark.intel.com/products/27251/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E6700-4M-Cache-2_66-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB 3) look at the E6400 that came out with E6700 at the same time, I don't know why e6400 is in the CPU support list but e6700 is not in the list. That is my thinking too, they missed it. But if you don't buy the new MB yet, you are better to wait for their reply before you buy it. If you already have the P5G41 then just try it.
