They should compatible, here is why. 1) The P5G41T-M LX has intel G41 chipset, 2) Here is e6700 compatible chipsets list http://ark.intel.com/products/27251/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E6700-4M-Cache-2_66-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB 3) look at the E6400 that came out with E6700 at the same time, I don't know why e6400 is in the CPU support list but e6700 is not in the list. But I think e6700 should be. You can email the asus for support. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5G41TM_LX#support

I have emailed them but didn't got any reply yet.
I think they have missed the processor in the support list.
