This is my first time building a PC. Had an old one for 3 years and its kinda slow. Finally decided to build one for game and work. I spent many hours reading up and watching assembly vids. This is the list I made at pcpartpicker so compatibility wise I think they are ok. I would just like to ask if these components are suitable for me.
Some background: The most frequent games I play are Planetside 2 and Dota ( hyped for 2 ). Occasionally BF3 multiplayer if my friends invite me. I also do photoshop and design work ( I design ships ). So hoping I can use this PC for the next 3-5 years without changing much. I would also like to ask if Sli I really necessary ( I'm new to these kinds of things ) and how well my current configuration allows for expandibility in the future. I'm also looking at adding a 2560p monitor by the end of next year. Budget: $1800
Thanks! ! All opinions are welcomed!
