Asus bios flash

Hi all. I have a problem i would like some help with.
I have recently built my first gaming pc,
Asus v formula-z mobo
AMD 8350 cpu.
My problem is how to download the latest bios to a flash drive. I have no intention of flashing my bios as everything is working perfectly but i would like to have the latest bios on a memory stick in case i need it at some point in the future.
I went to to Asus website & downloaded the latest bios, 1503, i believe, but the bios seemed to download almost instantaniously so i am now wondering if i've done it correctly, i thought it would have taken at least a short while to download. When i look at my flash drive i see the bios there, at least the name, but i'm wondering if it is the full programme as i have never flashed a bios before & need to be sure if i am ever to use it.
Any help would be gratefully recieved.
I'm a newbie :/

Check the file size of the BIOS from their website.
They dont also recommend to update Bios if the system already running normally.
  2. Check the size of the downloaded file against the size noted on the asus website. Bios files are not overly large and if you have a good connection they will download quickly.

It says 3.304kb. Would that be about right. I've never messed with the bios you see so i need to be sure.
I've also had to rename it C5FZ.CAP !!!!
Thank you for our help btw :)
  4. Recheck the size. It should be 3.3mb. You indicate 3.304kb - do you mean 3,304kb?

    It's definitely 3.304kb
  6. I suspect you got a bad download - give it another try.

I've tried it half a dozen times from the official Asus website & although it says 3.3mb on there i always get the same 3.304kb :/
  9. Sorry, but that's a bit funny. It's like saying 7 days instead of a week.
To make things worse, unzip the file and you'll get 8 MB.
    Isn't this magic?

PS: it's 3.304 and not 3,304 because of the metrics. Some people (like most Europeans) do use normal digits separator (just kidding).
