CPU Temp from Corsair H80i to i7 3770k

Hi,
Just build up my new rig few days ago, i have this Corsair H80i with i7 3770k and installed the Corsair Link V2. Founding that my CPU temp is ranging 43 to 46 deg Cel, is this normal??? my fans on the Corsair H80i having default RPM.

Is that at idle or under load? Have you also looked at the temp readings in bios and/or by using hardware monitor?

Well i do not know if it is idLe or under Load.. i have check over my bios and HWMonitor and reads as for the following:

HWMonitor
Package:
@ 43*C 1.006V
@ 42*C 0.966V Min
@ 59*C 1.211V Max

Bios:
@ 49*C

Corsair Link V2:
@ 45*C

Under load means reading the temps when you are putting the cpu under stress with a testing program such as Intel burn test, memtest, etc.

If the temps you are reporting are with the pc doing nothing, they are a little high but not much. Run a test program and monitor the temps when the cpu is working hard and report back.

Them temps are a little high for idle. Run Prime95 and see what the temps are under full load.

Its totally safe at them temperatures (43-46), plus Intel CPUs have thermal protection so you really cant do any damage.

I would run prime95 for a couple of mins and see what the temps go up to under full load.

I have run the prime95 just only few minutes and here is the reading

and for

@ 44*C 0.931V Min
@ 105*C 1.191V Max

Now you made me more worried

Your temps are way to high. Start by reinstalling the H80i - check and be sure you get the TIM applied correctly. Snug the block down tightly.

Yeah I agree with Mark. Reapply the thermal paste and make sure the block is mounted correctly and tight.

Ok then, i might have to buy a ThermaL paste and reinstalling the H80i. or would you suggest the ThermaL paste from my Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212??i still have the brand new and didnt use it up to now. Will that be usefuL or get new one?

The EVO 212 will give you cooling just as good as the H80i.

And yes, that TIM will be fine. Just be sure to use a very, very thin layer and get the block down tight.

Hi Mark & Rob,

I have just re-install the H80i using the Thermal Paste of the Evo 212. And currently having a reading of:

RealTemp:

24*C 32*C 33*C 40*C

HWMonitor

Package:
@ 41*C 0.991 V

@ 38*C 0.976 V Min

@ 54*C 1.216 V Max

How this sounds to you guys? and you know what, when i was trying to re-installing the H80i it seems the knobs from the block are kinda loose and probably the Thermal Compound of the H80i so thick enough to have contact with the CPU.
