7970 artifacts in Crysis 3

My problem is that i have always played crysis with no problem but than i decided to overclock it before i played again I stress tested it in furmark with no problems my temps didnt even go above 71c

so i tested it for an hour but than I played shogun 2 without any problems than Crysis 3 with artifacts off the bat is this a game issue?

Just bear in mind voltage increases dramatically increase the heat output and will shorten the component lifespan.
As a cautious guy I'd suggest you knock the OC down a bit rather than boost the voltage-but then again, I AM a cautious guy.

well what about furmark which supposedly gives the gpu an unrealistic stress it was perfect and i did up the voltage to see if that was the problem but the artifacts increased

every game uses ur gpu diffrently, crysis 3 is very hardcore, and is trying to use ur full gpu overclock settings, and ur gpu isnt getting enough voltage to do that, which causes artifacts to appear.

i understand other games not being the same but I mean furmark is suppose to put an unrealistic stress on your gpu that games wouldnt

furmark is supposed to put quite alot of stress on ur gpu, but as i said, every program uses ur gpu diffrently. ur crysis 3 artifacts are probably being caused from not enough voltage for the memory crysis 3 is trying to use.

so i tried the voltage and nope no help so I decided to clean out the drivers and re install thenm and what do you know it worked!!
