Hi
Before deciding to build my own system I didn't have too much knowledge of computers. I wanted a budget computer which runs at a decent speed allowing me to complete CAD work and play lower spec games. I have carried out a lot of research and have bought some of the parts I will be using, which are listed below.

Motherboard: Asus M5-A78L-MUSB3
CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 core
Memory: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
Hard Drive: Western Digital Black 1TB

I am also planning on buying a Bitfenix Prodigy Micro-atx case.

My question is, what power supply would you recommend?
I have seen a few Corsair ones I like the look of. Not sure though if 430W will be enough or if I'll need 500 or maybe something else?
Thanks!

Two things, you do not have a GPU, and an SSD.
These will significantly enhance your rig performance.
Get a 7770 or a 7750 with a 64GB SSD(for OS only).

If you do not plan to get a GPU, 430watt is sufficient for you.

If you do, 450-500watt is sufficient for you.

I will prefer XFX over Corsair.

I prefer XFX over Corsair also simply because XFX uses one manufacturer for their PSU's (Seasonic) while Corsair uses many manufacturers (Chicony, ChannelWell, Great Wall, Flextronics and Seasonic). Both brands are reputable, have solid designs and are good about RMA (for the rare instances it's needed) just a personal preference here

Thanks for the advice. Do you think the build I have opted for will be slow and combersome without a GPU and SSD?
Thanks for the tips on PSUs. When I have decided upon GPU/SSD I will choose the PSU. Thanks again
