I have an old (but still amazing) NL-2511CD-Ext 2 card manufactured by senao. so I spent some time on this before giving up & here is what I know:
it uses a prism 2.5 chipset (http://melbourne.wireless.org.au/wiki/?Senao-SL2511CD)
the last released official driver was 2006 from what I could find (http://www.senao.com/English/Default.aspx?PT=searchDown...)

this card is legendary, and now I need to use it (I have had it for many years) so if someone can help me it would be incredible.

more info:

http://www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/IntersilPrism2

I had hope when I saw this:
http://wikidevi.com/wiki/Intersil/p54/usb/windows
but my card is not listed there!

thanks for any assistance!

Your best option is to simply replace it unless you want to spend weeks and months looking for a compatible driver which most likely doesn't exist.

I don't know.............. it seems like the driverset at http://wikidevi.com/wiki/Intersil/p54/usb/windows would work, which means that people are interested in getting their old cards to work. that driver set was community made, and I think it WOULD work, but when I tried it windows gave me an error saying the hash information was not correct, and I don't have the technical skills to mod the driver file or find the hash of my device, but maybe someone who does can help me.

btw, when I said this card was legendary I was not kidding. there really isn't anything to compare this too, unless I wanted to spend a fortune of money, which I don't, and even then it would be arguable. this is one of the best wifi adapters ever made, especially with the magnetic mounted dual antenna setup, which I have.

Have you contacted Senao

I saw on other forums while I was searching everywhere that contacting senao is a waste of time (multiple places, not just one or two) so I did not bother, but you are right I should at least try. I actually contacted engenius (senao north America is branded "engenius") who retailed the product here in the us when I purchased it, and the tech guy I spoke to came back to the phone after putting me on hold for a long while and said he had spoken to some "people" and I must be making a mistake, they never made this product. I was baffled by his response and told him it was branded "engenius" he asked for a serial number, and when I explained that the sticker was too old and worn out to read he told me "sorry sir I cant help you"

pretty sure he thought I was prank calling him :/

but yeah i'll fill out the form
