how to get back my local profile when I'm the only user so I can keep my downloaded programs and updates

email me an answer to this problem please because everytime I download somthing and decide to turn off my computer when not in use...I would come back later to turn it on again and find my downloaded stuff missing off my desktop and gone from my documents so please give me a solution to this problem so can you email me at tdanr49@aol.com:??:

Do you get a message when you logon that you are using a temporary profile? Or do you have some sort of software installed that locks computer files and settings like DeepFreeze installed?

Your profile may be corrupt, setup a new profile and test things with that.
