Should i buy the Nikon L820 p&s , or wait 6 months and get the Nikon D3100 slr . Please suggest other good models.......Thanks in advance.......

Do you need video recording? The D300 does not do video capturing. What is the intended use of the camera? Traveling? Or just casual aim and shoot? And what is your budget?
