Hi, my computer and room seems to build up dust and hair quicker than I can clean it all out. With school and work i really don't have much time to spend on having to clean my room. Our family has 2 cats and a dog. I also have a lot of elctronics in my bedroom. I have my computer/monitor, printer, av reciever and speakers, tv, and a router. My room is fairly large at 13' x 15'. I have dust filters on the front, bottom, side, and top (that one came preinstalled) of my case. Is there anything I can do to prevent dust and hair building up in my room and case?

I've found foam or mesh filters catch a LOT of dust, but clog fast and are too restrictive.

I use black vinyl coated fiberglass window screen material you can get from the hardware store and custom-cut/mount all mhy own filters to replace the stock ones. With a clean fit and being black, it still looks very good, keeps most of the dust out, doesn't clog as fast, is much less restrictive on airflow, and is CHEAP to replace as needed.

I only use one small exhaust fan and keep all 3 intake fans filtered (two 120mm and one 200mm). Only need to clean my case and MB about once a year - and then it is just mild dust that creeps through the filters, simple to blow out with canned air. No cooling issues either. I used to have the same problem you do and cleaned my case monthly.

Now there is maintenance involved; you need to clean your filters regularly or you will not get the cooling airflow you need.

I don't know much about anything, but here's a list of Air Purifiers which collect and filter dust, gases, fumes etc from your household air.

Maybe you could even stick on inside your PC as well as your room.

Also, remember Vinyl Albums? I assume this is the material Maddogfargo mentioned, since I collect vinyl LPs and they attract dust like a vacuum cleaner. That's because they easily cause lots of static, which is magnetism (Electro-Magnetism). Maybe people have used the vinyl material to collect dust inside the case before it makes contact with anything? A strip perhaps. If this works at all, you'd want it to produce static to collect dust better, but I'm not sure if you want a staticky charged *anything* near your computer! static discharge is supposed to be quite bad for components (example: anti static wrist bands for PC building)

Maybe you should start collecting vinyl.

I'd say air purifiers and the occasional vacuum sesh should help a lot.
