DDR3 RAM issues

My PC configuration: Gigabyte 78LMT-2S, AMD FX 4100..Window7 64bit.. I have 2X2 GB DDR3 ram but I can use only 2 GB... Please advise. If I upgrade 4x4 GB DDR3 ram, will I get 4GB or more than that....???

What does it say in the BIOS? Since that's not quality RAM, it's also entirely possible that one stick just doesn't work. You should stick with Kingston, Corsair, G.SKILL, ADATA or another prominent brand to ensure you're getting quality sticks.

Hi, Thanks for your response. I meant I installed 2X2 GB hynet RAM but system shows only 2 GB usable.
