Hello Forum,

So today is an exciting day for myself, I am finally letting myself upgrade in the world of technology. I've bought my computer I use now used around a year and a half ago and its getting old! Its still very powerful but is lacking in a lot of the newer features that quite interest me. I am looking for a computer that I don't have to watch the performance with, something I know will be able to do everything I need it to do without holding me back. As I now I am looking to only transfer my Soundcard and WD Black hard drive from my current build. I've been looking on Kijijj (Canada's Craigslist) and I can get around 800-1000 for my computer as of now.

My Max budget is around $1500-$2000 Low as possible would be awesome (I have Monitors and such just need components). I would like the build to consist of quality parts and all from one of the top online retailers.Newegg.ca/NCIX,ca/CanadaComputers.com

I would like an Intel build i7 with the newAMD GPU (Really liking the Mantle idea) I use my computer now as my main Streaming, Rendering, Gaming and Home Media center. Have fun!

Thanks, Derek

Edit : Price is lowered

Something like this should fit the bill. I didn't spend up to your max because I didn't feel you needed to. I took into account that you had a sound card and the hard drive. I also would like to note that a 280x is the same as a 7970 essentially so I saved you some money with the 7970. I included windows as well however if you already have a copy of windows you can put on the machine then all means you'll build will be that much cheaper.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($35.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard:...
Simply a i5 4570, z87 motherboard, 8gb memory, 180gb (or more) SSD harddrive, ATI 7950 or 7970 video card.

According to what you have now, you might be able to just upgrade your computer with a card or 2 and increase it's usability for a few more years.
