Sir,two of my desktop pc hard disk got burnt by itself after couple of months of usage.Initially I suspected the SMPS however my motherboard is running fine for the past eight years with the same smps. However I noticed a common issue in case of my previous two burnt hdd that pc will hang suddenly and the screen will go white. So once the pc will be turned off and again if it is turned on it will not be detected in BIOS and after some time smoke will come out of the hdd.I would like to know about the exact problem causing this?Kindly respond soon.

It could still be your PSU. What brand and model (not just wattage) is it? If it has multiple rails, it is possible that they are not properly current-limited. Could something have spilled in or on your PC? Did both drives burn in exactly the same way, e.g. when you removed them, were there similar burn marks on them?
