I put my pc to sleep while watching a movie, and upon tring to awaken it, the monitor ceased to work. I tried replacing the monitor and vga cable with a set both known to be working with no success. I then assumed my graphics card was the problem so i removed it and tried connecting to the original integrated graphics with no success even after resetting the cmos in an attempt to reset the bios. Still no success. The PC reaches windows so i believe it is a hardware problem. Any ideas on what else could be the problem? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like something with the power supply or HDD. Give me all your system specs. You could replace thermal paste.

No, the last upgrade was the graphics card, which i had been using for over a year with no problems.

Try dust cleaning your computer.
