Hey guys, I'm not very good with computers. My older brother put it together after I dropped all the cash for the parts about a year ago. Lately I've been wanting to play some of my non shooter games on my 60' Samsung HDTV with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The only problem is, there is no HDMI port on my Cooler Master (Old model) tower. I looked up my graphics card (GForce GTX 560 TI) and it should have an HDMI port on it. Please help, if there is any other info you need, just let me know.

What ports you have depend on the specific card, different manufacturers put different ports on the same card...HDMI is usually a pretty ubiquitous one, but if you don't have one, you can convert a displayport or DVI port to HDMI with a very inexpensive adapter and it will work just fine.

Yes I've been reading about that as well, but I'd need to get audio as well, and I've been reading that the DVI method does not include audio. Also, I know this can be fixed by using a 3.5 MM jack to RCA split to connect to the TV, but the only RCA inputs are for the component (which I use my Wii for). So I dont think I would be able to get audio unless I get a DVI plus Audio to HDMI converter which is around $50.

Ah, that is an issue if you don't have a reciever or have extra speakers for the PC only...sounds like you're in sticky spot, what you could do is sell your card, then you should be able to get another (used) 560 ti with HDMI for the same price...or for a small amount upgrade to a used 650 ti boost. It would leave you without a GPU for a while, but be cheapest...otherwise the adapter or a new card is what you need.

Ok that sound like a good option just one more question. There no port for the Mini HDMI on the tower. Honestly, I have no experience with this stuff, so this might sound stupid. Is the Mini HDMI port on the graphics card itself? Would I have to open up the case and make a special hole to get the cable out ( God I feel dumb)?

You won't have to open it up, any ports the card has will be on the back where you can get at them, if you don't see one, you might have a different revision of the same model you looked up...what you see on the back is what you've got. HDMI usually get crammed up right next to the dividers between slots, and mini hdmi would be easy to miss, check very thoroughly.

:)  I'm glad you found it, it would have stunk to swap cards or buy a $50 adapter.
