Anything particularly wrong with my unimpressive gaming build?

Not trying to build anything crazy, just enough for 1080p gaming on a single 21.5" monitor. I know this isn't rocket science, but I'm compelled to seek advice before pulling the trigger.

My main concern is that I end up building something that isn't much better than an Xbone or PS4:

PowerColor AX7850 2GBD5-DH Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
$159.99

AMD Athlon X4 750K Trinity 3.4GHz Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop Processor - Black Edition AD750KWOHJBOX
$79.99

Mushkin Enhanced STEALTH 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 996995S
$79.99

COUGAR RS Series RSB400 400W ATX12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply Haswell ready
$54.99

BIOSTAR Hi-Fi A85S3 Ver. 6.1 FM2 AMD A85X (Hudson D4) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
$82.99

Fractal Design Core 1000 FD-CA-CORE-1000-USB3-BL Black Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case
$35.99

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
$141.99

Grand Total: $635.93

For that money you could have more performance using an
FX 6300
AM3+ motherboard with a 970 chip set
2 x4 gig of RAM
and a 7870

Avoid the cougar power supply

And if you do want to build with an APU socket motherboard then make sure you are using an FM2+ board that can run the improved steamroller core processors being released in January

I considered that but aren't the steamroller cores APU-only? I'm not interested in any integrated graphics solution.

Then why are you using an APU motherboard and not an AM3+ motherboard?

But if you do build using an APU motherboard then use FM2+ so you have future compatibility because there are bound to be equivalent FM2 + Athlons that have no graphics component
