AMD processor on new motherboard?

Currently my Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P does not support the 125 watt AMD FX-8150 so I was wondering can I buy a new motherboard and still use my AMD FX???

Also I need help on what motherboards are compatible with this processor??

Yes, you should be able to purchase a new motherboard which supports your FX-8150 processor (assuming this is a home build). However, Windows licensing may become an issue where you are required to purchase a new copy.

Look for motherboards that have AM3/AM3+ CPU sockets.

Sorry, I won't touch MSI for builds, poor QC....might look at the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 or at $95 the M5A97 R2.0
