Hi,

I want to know if I can safely overclock my fx8320 to 4.2ghz with an Antec HCG 520w

Things using power:
1 x 120mm fan (rear), 1 x 120mm led fan (front)
2 x 4gb ddr3 ram
1 x fujitsu 128gb ssd
1x dvdrw
1 x HD7950 Boost 3GB
1 x FX8320
1 x external USB HD and maybe another 2 USB ports in use

I've got an ASRock 970-PRO3 R2.0, I know I won't be able to get huge clocks with this board.

If I overclock the 8320 to 4.2ghz and also add a Coolermaster H 212 cpu fan would the 520w PSU be enough?

700 MHz isn't a small overclock, and without VRM heat dissipation, i'd be very careful...that's pushing the limit of your PSU, if you got the CPU running full bore and then added in a full GPU load it might fail...can't say for sure, depends on how well it's made and how conservative the ratings on it are...

If you're trancoding or cpu intensive stuff you'll see it finish a bit quicker, but in regular usage, you won't notice a difference. I wouldn't probably push past 3.8 or maybe 4.0 at max without VRM cooling...depending on what actual temps you get and how much risk you're willing to live with :)
