Hello all,

I'm about to move from MBP to PC for a while since I've been missing gaming and want to play good few titles (older and future releases). However I want a small PC not a 20kg box that's half empty like my old Silverstone FT02 case.

So this is my build, though I'm not sure if I will be able to fit the graphics card I want and if the PSU is sufficient.

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VI IMPACT or ASRock Z87E-ITX
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile Jet Black
Graphics Card: GTX760 or GTX780 (or Titan - but that would be an overkill)
Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 840 EVO (750GB) + 1TB Storage
Case: Silverstone Sugo SG08B
Power Supply: Silverstone 600W ATX PSU, 80 Plus bronze - included with the case
Cooling: Not sure.
DVD Burner: Laptop Blu-ray slot loading
Monitor: Dell 29" UltraSharp U2913WM

I've looked up on other websites and that case could take GTX680 (both dimension and PSU wise). But I would like to put 780 or 760 in there. Again my main purpose here is gaming but I also do some video editing. I really like the SG08B case and that would be my priority pick, in fact if necessary I would work around it when it comes to chosing the components.

So I suppose it all boils down to these questions:
1) Will PSU handle latest graphics from Nvidia
2) Will the GPU fit into that case

Thanks!

If it's solely for gaming then their is no need for an i7 4770k but a i5 4670k. With all that cores and hyperthreading that the i7 4770k provide, it be useful for things that requires or takes advantages of multiple cores or hyperthreading like Adobe Products, AutoCADD, Rendering, etc.Cause if you are not doing heavy things on those areas then it would be waste of money as you won't take full advantages of an i7 has to offer. An i5 4670k would be an ideal choice for gaming and even light cadd, video rendering, etc. But don't get me wrong an i7 4770k would run things alot smoother but is worth the price for somethings you will barley notice and use. As for 16GB of ram, are you doing any memory intensive program if not and 8GB or ram would be more than enough. with the money you save you can potentially invest it more towards your GPU

I know what you mean. Although the money isn't a problem as my budget is aprox $2.7k though the price difference between the i5-i7 is quite big. I never really looked at i5. I used to have an iMac on i5 and eventhough it was fast in Adobe Premiere I though i7 will be better, hence I picked that one. 16GB due to the fact that I do some video and photoshop. However the reason to go back to PC is flexibility when it comes to gaming. Otherwise I would stay on my MBP.
