I have an old gateway PC with a 1TB hard drive with windows 7 on it and I would like to use that hard drive in my new PC but i would like to have Windows 8 installed on it and the hard drive wiped clean. How can I do this? when i first start up my new PC build will it go straight to windows 7?

Solution
all you need do on your new build is set the cd rom or usb stick to boot first then put the windows 8 disk in. all you need to do is go to the advance install in windows 8 and delete all the partion on the old hard drive. microsoft has free iso to usb tool if your new pc does not have a cd rom drive.
