hello tomshardware
Randomly one day the internet just turned off. in task manager, under network adapters, all that's there is Realteak PCIe GBE Family Controller. When i use troubleshoot i get the message "The default gateway is not available". I have tried reinstalling Windows 7 as well as the intel chipset from the DVD. Still nothing works though :( anyhelp fixing this is much appreciate

Solution
that device is the hard wires Ethernet port on the motherboard. check that it blinking with the cable plugged in. if the cable clip broke off check that it not inside the port and there no bent pins. bad wire will cuase the port not to work. check under networks that the port is not disables and check in the bios that the network port not turned off.

Amazing, one day the internet turns off and you think that it could be BIOS problem lol. Most likely the router's lost sync or session to the isp, or there's a cabling problem
